WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Saturday’s MAC football showdown between King’s College and Lebanon Valley College at McCarthy Stadium featured a matchup between two very different offensive philosophies. It was a battle between the Monarch’s top-ranked passing attack and Lebanon Valley’s top-ranked ground and pound offense, and in a game where both team’s moved the ball at will, it was King’s spread offense that reigned supreme. King’s junior quarterback Zach Whitehead threw for 250 yards, a touchdown and an interception, on 22 of 38 passing, en route to a 21-17 win over the Flying Dutchmen. “We did a really good job I think,” Whitehead said.
