One of the more exciting small screen announcements in the last month or so has been the news that filmmaker Kevin Smith is working on a TV series adaptation of MGM's 1984 cult classic sci-fi adventure "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension". Smith scored the gig after his job directing an episode of The CW's "The Flash" series last year.
