McNutt Staff Writer kmcnutt@oklahoman.comSTILLWATER — Oklahoma State University's future performing arts center has a name and a $25 million gift to bring world-class orchestras, plays and operas to the stage. Alumni Ross and Billie McKnight have given $25 million to establish a programming endowment that will allow the university to bring in national and international artists to perform and work with the students, OSU President Burns Hargis announced Wednesday. The 93,000-square-foot McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University is expected to open in fall 2019. A great venue needs funding for the programming it deserves, Hargis said.
