Sir Laurence Olivier - british actor, born 22nd May 1907,Dorking, Surrey, died 11th July 1989, Steyning, West Sussex, from complications from a muscle disorder.Distinguished British stage actor whose film appearances were reasonably frequent. Received an honorary Oscar in 1979 for th broad range of his work, and his unique achievements.Films include Wuthering Heights (1939) as Heathcliff, Pride and Prejudice (1940) as Mr. Darcy, Othello (1965), Lady Caroline Lamb (1972), Bounty, The (1984).
