Amarillo police are investigating two separate homicides after two altercations turned deadly Sunday Eric Ontario Smith, 19, was shot in the head about 4:10 a.m. Sunday in a parking lot outside of the Paradise Club, 714 N. Fillmore St., police said. Multiple witnesses told police a person approached Smith in the parking lot and fired a gun at him. The suspect fled before police arrived. Smith was taken by private car to a local hospital, where he died while receiving treatment, police said. read more
