Stories Related to American Legion Post In River Edge Going Out Giving

Declining membership has forced the River Edge American Legion post, which has been active for more than 80 years, to begin closing and today, it will mark its final Veterans Day. But before it closes, members decided it would donate nearly $300,000 to 34 local organizations as one of its final gesture to its community.
