Beaumont Animal Services will host its second annual "Beat the Heat Adoption Event" on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adoption fees will be waived at this weekend's event, and other specials and giveaways will be up for grabs. Adoption applications can be picked up Monday through Thursday at the shelter or filled out at www.beaumonttexas.gov. Animals up for adoption can be viewed at the Animal Shelter's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/beaumontanimalservices.
