Hours after the worst early morning hail storm in at least 20 years, featuring baseball-size hail, El Paso County is forecast to see something less dramatic. Scattered showers could hit the Colorado Springs area on Wednesday with gusty winds, hail and lightning, according to National Weather Service in Pueblo. Temperatures could reach in the 80s and 90s. That forecast follows a strong storm early Wednesday that pummeled the county — particularly Fountain and Fort Carson — with 3-inch hail, the Weather Service reported.
