Overnight alternating traffic at the Interstate 70 Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel begins in late April, according to a news release from the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Ongoing tunnel projects and maintenance work, including improvements to drainage and signage and security, require lane closures in the tunnel throughout the spring and summer. These closures were suspended over the winter and will resume with consistent warmer weather.
Lane closures will begin overnight on April 28.

Shots were fired in a parking lot at the Williams Village dormitory complex at the University of Colorado Boulder early Sunday morning, according to a campus emergency alert.
At approximately 3 a.m., CU police responded to a noise complaint at Weber Hall. As police were breaking up a large party, there were reports of shots fired in a parking lot outside the building, according to the alert.
At 4:24 a.m., CU released an emergency alert reporting the shooting and imposed a shelter-in-place order.
