Flames broke out at the Eternal Mother Temple in Pontiac on Saturday after an ember from a ceremonial fire pit reportedly caught the roof on fire.Patrons of the Hindu temple, located at 551 W. Kennett Road, didn't call firefighters for help but instead Oakland County Sheriff's deputies spotted them on the roof trying to douse the flames with a garden house at around 10:30 Saturday morning.
