We have signed QB Chad Kelly and waived DT Jordan Thompson.https://t.co/auThjkhgSB — Indianapolis Colts (@Colts) May 20, 2019 Kelly, who was drafted with the last pick of the 2017 NFL draft, earning him the “Mr. Irrelevant” title, was a fan favorite during his time in Denver backing up quarterback Case Keenum. The former Ole Miss quarterback’s time in Denver was cut short after he was arrested in late October 2018 for allegedly entering a stranger’s home, sitting on their couch and mumbling incoherently.
