Stories Related to City Issues Update On Animal Control Investigation

The city of Amarillo said Wednesday an internal review for possible noncriminal policy violations will follow a police investigation into operations at the Animal Control Department. Two employees are on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, city spokeswoman Sonja Gross said. The city did not name the two employees, citing the suspensions as a personnel matter. Gross said allegations were made against the Animal Control department that warranted the investigation. read more
