The city of Portland is cutting nearly 1,000 jobs as it faces more than $100 million in lost revenue during the coronavirus pandemic, according to news reports. The Oregonian reports that the job cuts are mostly among seasonal workers for the city park department. The city's revenue loss is due in part to the closure of community centers, pools and other public facilities along with an 80 percent drop in tourism in the city since social distancing measures were put in place, according the Oregonian…
