Springfield will play its final regular season home football game of the season when the Millers face Midwestern League rival North Eugene for a 7 p.m. Friday contest. The Millers (4-2, 2-1 MWL) are coming off a nonconference victory over Hermiston last week.

Each year, Scott Touchette likes to gauge the pulse of his cross country team early on. Around the second week of the season, when Springfield heads to the Saxon Invitational in Salem, Touchette develops a good grasp of what the Millers have in store.
