As two-score road underdogs with key injuries on both sides of the football, the Colorado State Rams weren’t given much of a chance Saturday. But thanks to a dominant defense, and just enough offense, the Rams pulled off a shocker with a 22-6 upset of the Toledo Rockets at Glass Bowl Stadium for their first win of the season. “I’m just happy we won,” CSU junior tight end Trey McBride said.

Following the conclusion of the NFL draft, Denver signed Memphis running back Blake Watson as an undrafted free agent. A source told The Denver Post that Watson’s deal includes a guaranteed salary of $250,000 and a $25,000 signing bonus. Watson rushed for at least 1,000 yards in two of his five seasons at Memphis.
