WASHINGTON >> Prescription drug take back sites were filled with more than 8,000 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs last weekend during the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The State of Connecticut collected 8,816 pounds of unwanted and expired prescription drugs during the nationwide drug take-back day on Saturday, April 30, according to Malvin Patterson, a spokesperson for the DEA.
