MILLBURY � Town Manager Robert J. Spain Jr. told selectmen Tuesday that a home-rule petition that would raise the maximum age for a special police officer in Millbury to 70 years old would be heard by the Legislature's Joint Committee on Public Service Dec. 5 at 1 p.m.

WEST BROOKFIELD � The town's tax rate for fiscal 2015 has increased by 79 cents. The new rate is $14.98 per $1,000 of assessed property valuation, and that compares with a fiscal 2014 tax rate of $14.19.
