KINGSTON — Zach Anderson brought Crestwood back early in the fourth quarter and Matt Tirpak made sure the comeback did not go to waste. Tirpak’s goal with during a man-advantage situation, 23 seconds into the second overtime Wednesday lifted the Comets to their second District 2 boys lacrosse title in three years, 11-10, over host Wyoming Seminary. The Comets denied the Blue Knights from winning a district title in their first year after switching from a prep school schedule to strictly high school play as a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association member in the sport. Tirpak worked free behind the goal, waited for a pass from Anthony Capruscio, then stepped in front to get off a quick shot for the game-winner. “They started shifting to the back side,” Tirpak said.
