Similar Stories to Developers Owed Millions In Credits From City Of Colorado Springs For Drainage Projects on Bing News

The Colorado Springs City Council approved a $4 million infusion to the city's Subdivision Drainage Fund last week, a reflection of the increased construction in the city. But that $4 million doesn't come from taxpayers. It's created by developers' fees, imposed when land is platted to cover their share of the costs of drainage infrastructure, including bridges and detention ponds in a drainage basin. Sometimes developers build the improvements themselves.
