Schenectady More than two decades later, District Attorney Robert Carney said he still has vivid recollections of the gruesome crime scene the morning of May 30, 1995 when Suzanne Nauman's almost nude body was discovered in a field near the Schenectady Municipal Golf Course. The strangulation death of the 17-year-old mother of an infant had vexed just about everyone working the murder case, including retired Schenectady police Detective Roy Edwardson, who pledged to buy a headstone for Nauman if police solved the case.
