Stories Related to Dog Hurt, House Damaged In Streamwood Fire

A dog was seriously injured Wednesday afternooon in a Streamwood house fire, fire officials said. Streamwood Fire Department responded to the fire in a single-family home just after 4 p.m. on the 1700 block of McKool Avenue. The blaze started in a lower-level bedroom and spread up the side of the building, causing extensive smoke damage, firefighters said in a news release.
