So I'm in college at the moment looking for part time work.I have worked for Wal-Mart,my local car wash,and some fast food places since I was 18.Now over the past few years a trend keeps emerging in the interview phase.Sometimes such as Target when I was interviewed for a position and I had told them I worked formally for Wal-Mart and pretty much the interview ended there.I was told we don't like to hire former employees of competitors regardless of how long its been since.I understand business like to "mold" you into what they want,but I don't think former work should matter when it been a year or two.I'm questioning should I put former employers on my resume that are in the same job sector.
