With student enrollment as the basis for any school district's financial lifeblood, most Macomb County school systems have suffered a minor scrape this autumn.But the bleeding isn't severe.According to student population figures provided by the districts and compared to state data for 2016, 11 of the 21 public school districts in the county have fewer pupils to start the 2017-18 school year than they did a year ago.
