A German official has ruled that the Facebook “Like” button violates privacy laws. According to a report from the English-language German news site, The Local, the data protection official said that the plug-in violates European data laws. The official, Thilo Weichert, told The Local that the plug-in tracks user habits in violation of German and European Union privacy laws.
