A Volusia County teacher filed a criminal complaint against a 9-year-old student who punched her last week, according to a report from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Volusia United Educators President Elizabeth Albert said assaults from students are the “dirty little secret” of the education system — and this incident is proof that teachers are reaching the breaking point.
