Greta Gerwig has landed the leading role on the How I Met Your Mother spin-off How I Met Your Dad, TVGuide.com has learned. Gerwig, who will also write and produce HIMYD, was most recently received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy for her performance in Frances Ha. How I Met Your Dad is slated to shoot its pilot in Los Angeles, but will move production to New York should the comedy be picked up to series.
