A federal judge on Monday blocked parts of North Carolina’s law on medication abortions.
Under the ruling by U. S. District Judge Catherine Eagles any health care provider — not just physicians — and pharmacists who are certified can prescribe abortion pills, patients can take mifepristone at home and they no longer have to make three-in person visits to a doctor.
“Yesterday’s ruling from the court is a tremendous victory for thousands of patients statewide, particularly in rural areas, who have been deprived of full access to medication abortion because of the state legislature’s oppressive tactics and maniacal focus on restricting abortion,” Jenny Black, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, said in a statement Tuesday.

Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones started the process of liquidating his assets on Friday, taking the initial steps toward paying the $1.5 billion he owes families of the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting. Jones runs the popular Infowars media platform, where he repeatedly described the shooting, which killed 20 first-grade students and six teachers, as a “hoax.” Families of victims filed defamation suits against Jones and Infowars, and while Jones eventually conceded in court that the shooting was real, it was too late to save him from legal action.

On Fox News, uber Trump fanatic Pete Hegseth filling in for shitstain Jesse Watters pretended that a troll on Facebook could actually have been the cousin of a juror and claimed to know the verdict before it was handed down.
Not surprising, the Fox News host intentionally failed to mention the letter that the judge sent to both the defense and prosecutors made clear it was a phony.
