Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, has told Entertainment Weekly his return to the show, in its sixth season, was such a closely guarded secret that the character became “he who cannot be named” on set. The name was kept off scripts, couldn’t be written in wardrobe notes, and was even banned from conversation in case outsiders were listening. “No one was allowed to say ‘Jon Snow’ on set, ever, everyone had to refer to me as ‘LC,’” he told EW, the initials standing for “Lord Commander.” Jon Snow’s fate appeared to be finally given some resolution in Sunday’s episode, titled “Home,” when Melisandre led an incantation to raise him from the dead.
