Trump supporters are not known for remaining "calm," especially after January 6th. We know the lengths they would go to to protect Felon 45, and they have committed violence in the past. Lara Trump is ignoring the calls for violence that we're hearing after 45's criminal conviction. Lara was asked by CNN's Kasie Hunt how Trumpers would react if the orange aberration is locked up.
"This judge, who you just criticized extensively, is the person that is going to decide whether or not the former president will go to jail," Hunt said.
The only question I have is why anyone allows either of these two to still have a platform to spread their bile. So, apparently Russian asset, Putin apologist, and right wing troll Tucker Carlson joined Donald Trump Jr. to discuss Trump's criminal convictions in New York, and the conversation took a weird, but predictable turn when the two of them decided the latest hill they need to die on is defending the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol on January 6th: ‘It’s All Bullshit!’ Tucker Carlson Tells Don Jr.
Former President Donald Trump, a convicted felon, suggested that a jail sentence would be a "breaking point" that leads to violence from his supporters.
Trump made the remarks during a Fox News interview aired Sunday.
"The legal maze that you're still facing and they could it judge could decide to say hey house arrest or even jail It could be faced," Fox News host Pete Hegseth told the former president.
"I saw one of my lawyers the other day on television saying, oh, no, you don't want to do that to the press.
NBC guest host Peter Alexander pushed back against Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) after he suggested Donald Trump's conviction in a New York hush money trial was rigged.
Alexander began the Sunday interview on Meet the Press by correcting Cotton.
"So let me just clarify a couple things for our audience right now," Alexander said.
Recent polling doesn't look good for convicted felon Trump’s prospects with Independents, and even a lot of Republicans, who are now less likely to vote for him since his conviction in New York if these numbers hold up. I haven't seen any of the cross-tabs behind these numbers, so I'll take all of them with a grain of salt for now, but Trump doesn't need to lose a huge percentage of voters in a few swing states to cost himself the election in November.
From YouGov: Snap poll: 50% of Americans approve of Trump's hush-money conviction:
Half of Americans agree with a Manhattan jury's verdict that Donald Trump was guilty of 34 felony charges related to falsifying business records to cover up an alleged affair with an adult film actress.
After a New York jury (state, not federal) convicted Donald Trump of 34 felonies for cheating in the 2016 presidential election, Fox “News” White House correspondent Peter Doocy did his best to trap President Joe Biden with some MAGA gotchas.
The whole series of questions was designed to promote the MAGA spin on Trump’s convictions.
