The Coast Guard is searching for a woman after finding a man’s body in Chandler Bay off Jonesport. A husband and wife were seen heading out on the water in a green canoe Saturday morning, said Petty Officer Meghan Manship, and a man’s body was recovered less than a mile offshore around 11 a.m. Manship said the couple is believed to own a second home on the bay. The man’s body had a lifevest on, she said. The Coast Guard has a 47-foot boat on the scene and will continue searching overnight.
