A 19-year-old Bakersfield man was ordered to serve 14 years in prison Wednesday for fatally shooting Jerry Gray in 2013. Kern County Superior Court Judge John S. Somers sentenced alleged gang member Brendan Sanders after he pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter. Sanders' additional charges of murder and participating in a criminal street gang were dismissed as part of his plea agreement.
