The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/1p3c7Ga ) state District Judge Bruce Bennett imposed two life sentences on 53-year-old Giles McGhee last week following his conviction on two first-degree murder charges in the shooting deaths of 36-year-old Tamica Muse and 39-year-old Karum Smith at their Hammond home. Prosecutors say McGhee shot and killed Muse and Smith as the couple lay in bed in their apartment on April 5, 2012.
