BOSTON — More than 8,500 people, including cancer patients, survivors, and family members, are scheduled to participate in this weekend's walk along the route of the Boston Marathon.The goal is to raise more than $7.5 million to fund lifesaving adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research for all types of cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.This year's event will bring the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk's 26-year fundraising total to more than $100 million.
