Blizzard Confirms No LAN Play; Region Lock in Starcraft 2

Blizzard's VP of game design Frank Pearce has revealed that the only way to play Starcraft 2 in multiplayer will be through the company's Battle.net service online.This confirms that there will not only not be LAN capabilities within Starcraft 2, but that players are forced to play each other within their own regions.
