Deeds wins Va. Democratic primary

State Senator Creigh Deeds has won Virginia's Democratic primary for governor.  Deeds beat former Clinton White House insider Terry McAuliffe and former state Democratic legislative leader Brian Moran.

 

Virginia Democratic Primary: Low Turnout So Far

Registrars in Virginia say turnout is light as voters pick a Democratic nominee for governor. The choices are former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe, state Sen. Creigh (CREE) Deeds and former state House Democratic Caucus leader Brian Moran. Combined, they've raised a state record $15 million with the November election against Republican Bob McDonnell still five months off.
