Mitt Romney is a merry prankster. So say his five sons -- Tagg, Matt, Josh, Ben and Craig -- who appeared together last night on Conan O'Brien's show. It was billed as the first joint interview of the Romney Boys, as they're sometimes called in the news media, who are a frequent presence on the campaign trail.

Two decades after his self-titled show rebuilt the talk genre for a new generation, the 56-year-old comic and recent "Celebrity Apprentice" winner will attempt a major comeback with a nightly syndicated offering starting in September 2013.

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel just got a prime-time gig: Host of the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. The star and executive producer of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" will host the Emmy Awards ceremony on Sept. 23 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. "I hope to be able to do for the Emmys this year what Eddie Murphy did for the Oscars," Kimmel joked, referring to the comic actor who pulled out as host of this year's Academy Awards. This is Kimmel's first time hosting the Emmys.

 

TBS renews ‘Conan’ through 2014

Conan O’Brien’s self-titled late-night talk show has officially been renewed through April 2014, TBS announced Wednesday morning. “Conan” debuted on the cable network in November 2010. And for anyone who has blocked it out, the series kicked off about 10 months after the NBC disaster that resulted in O’Brien walking away from “The Tonight Show” and Jay Leno being instilled back in the host spot.
