From the fields of Idaho to tasting rooms in suburban Chicago, potato farmers, researchers and industry representatives are in the midst of an elusive hunt: finding a new spud for McDonald's french fries.

"McDonald's is jumping on board. According to Crain's, "The fast-food giant will begin rolling out the long-awaited Angus burger nationally by August ... A company memo indicates McDonald's also plans to feature the new sandwich in its Monopoly promotion in October."

Latreasa L. Goodman, 27, made the calls after she tried to get her money back and the cashier told her all sales were final. Police released the 911 tapes.

McDonald's reported a 7.1% increase in January sales at restaurants open at least a year, including a 5.4% rise in the U.S.
