Drug and/or alcohol use is suspected in a single-car accident that left the driver hospitalized with broken bones Monday evening.The driver, a 24-year-old Novi man, was traveling along the 1000 block of Benstein Road at about 9:15 p.m. when he suddenly left the roadway and hit a tree, based on a witness account, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
