In the immediate aftermath of the Nuggets’ Game 5 loss to the Lakers in the conference finals, president of basketball operations Tim Connelly took a moment to reflect with veteran Paul Millsap. Three summers ago, Connelly pitched Millsap on coming to Denver and helping foster a winning culture. Since landing Millsap on a three-year, $90 million deal, the Nuggets went from a fringe playoff team to one three wins away from the NBA Finals. Now 35 and entering free agency yet again, Connelly said the Nuggets hope to bring Millsap back. “I would love to see Paul retire in a Nuggets jersey,” Connelly said on Altitude on Wednesday morning.
