By Paul J. Nyden The South Charleston Chamber of Commerce hosted its 23rd annual Groundhog Breakfast and Economic Forecast at its Holiday Inn on Friday morning. Pointing out that 27 new businesses opened in South Charleston last year, Mayor Frank Mullens expressed hope for the future. Mullens was particularly happy that Gestamp, a Spain-based company that designs, develops and manufactures metal components for automobiles, reopened the Charleston Stamping and Manufacturing plant.When that plant reopened in October 2012, Gestamp hired 70 employees.
