The creator and executive producer of the new ABC drama series “American Crime,” John Ridley, spoke with The Modesto Bee about his new show. The series, which follows the families of the victims and the accused in the aftermath of a violent crime in the city, is one of the first to use Modesto exclusively as its backdrop.
