Stories Related to Palatine Teenager Injured In Boat Incident On Lake Marie: Sheriff's Office

A Palatine man suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries after being struck by a boat propeller Sunday afternoon on Lake Marie, authorities said. The Lake County Sheriff's Marine Unit responded to the incident at 12:42 p.m., and the victim was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. A preliminary investigation found that the 18-year-old boy was riding on the bow of a 2005 Premier Marine Pontoon Boat outside of the area designated for passengers, according to the news release.
