Savannah-Chatham police are investigating the shooting of a 29-year-old man in the Cuyler-Brownville neighborhood early Thursday morning. The victim was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, said Julian Miller, metro police spokesman. Central Precinct patrol officers found him on the porch of a house at West 36th and Florence streets about 3:08 a.m. Violent crimes detectives are investigating reports that he was being chased by another male when the shooting occurred near the intersection, Miller said. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637) using the keyword CSTOP2020.
