Stories Related to Police: Puyallup Burglar Caught In Act, In Attic

TACOMA — Puyallup police arrested a burglary suspect Sunday afternoon in the attic of the downtown business they say he ransacked, spokesman Scott Engel said. The 42-year-old man was arrested about 2:30 p.m. in the 300 block of East Pioneer with the assistance of K-9 officer Marshall, Engel said. “He found him on the second floor, tucked way back in the attic,” Engel said. The man was arrested without further incident. A maintenance employee for the business came in for work Sunday afternoon and suspected the building had been broken into and called police, Engel said. The business suffered extensive damage from the burglary, Engel said. Engel said the man has previous burglary convictions and multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. “It looks like he’s done this before,” Engel said.
