According to a news release from the Portland Police Bureau, officers first went to the motel at 9:18 a.m. Sunday to check out the woman's report. After talking to her, they began checking out a specific room, where they have been trying to contact a suspect in the room. Detectives arrived to help officers and eventually, they were joined by the SERT officers.
