PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Governor Raimondo wants a new director at the helm of the Board of Elections.Former Bristol town administrator Diane Mederos and former East Providence Mayor Isadore "Izzy" Ramos are the governor's picks for two open seats on the board. On Monday, Raimondo said she hopes her appointees will insist on better management at the agency and get rid of longtime Executive Director Robert Kando, who returned Monday from his second unpaid suspension this year.
