Sylvester Stallone gives the most resonant performance in Reach Me. Playing Gerald, a political blogger who paints abstract art in his free time, Stallone stands out from the crowd by expelling his pent-up rage in the form of insults like, “You're a fart catcher!” If only the other 64 characters in the film looked up from their navels long enough to exude that kind of personality, Reach Me would be a fairly entertaining existential romp. Self-seriousness plagues writer-director John Herzfeld's tone deaf ensemble piece.
