PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The state Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a former Marine reservist's conviction for assaulting a Brown University basketball player, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury and permanently impaired.The high court affirmed the felony-assault conviction of Tory Lussier, 29, of Connecticut, in the May 2013 attack on Joseph Sharkey, a backup guard on the Brown basketball team.
