WISE, VA - Roy Eugene Sams, 82, went home to join his wife Dorothy Sams on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the home of his daughter. Roy was a retired 40 plus year employee of Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. in Norton, VA and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1954 to 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Sams; a daughter, Terri Sams Brickey and her husband Curtis Brickey; sisters, Mae Dockery and Helen Seals; and brothers, Ronnie Sams, Paul Sams and Earl Sams. Surviving are his children, Suzy Sargent of Norton, VA, Roger Sams and wife Jackie of Norton, VA, Samantha Sturgill and husband Richard of Norton, VA and Veronica Stanley and husband Charlie of Coeburn, VA; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Roy Sams will be conducted at 7:00 P.M.
