Phone scammers are trying to cheat local residents out of hundreds of dollars by telling them they are being arrested for missed jury duty dates, according to a news release from Colorado Springs police. In recent weeks, the department has received several complaints from people who said they were called by someone who claimed to be an El Paso County Sheriff's Office deputy.
